The summer vacation had come again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it.

First, I thought I should go over all the knowledges that my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them.

Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise, such as running and playing basketbal , to keep me physically strong. It stood to reason that with such a good plan I would make the best of my vacation time. I did, because I lived up to what I had planned.

It finally rained heavily today, and the weather suddenly became much cooler. In the morning, my dad and I went to the store, and halfway through it, it suddenly started to rain heavily again. When I get home at noon, Im ready to brush my shoes. Ill take my wet shoes from the morning into the bathroom and rinse them with tap water. Then Ill find a shoe brush, a small stool, and laundry detergent. The preparations are ready, and Ill start brushing my shoes. I turned on the faucet and ran it while brushing. I vigorously brushed the outside first, then the inside. However, there were several areas that couldnt be cleaned, and the shoes were still dirty. So I turned off the faucet and sprinkled laundry detergent on the surface of the shoes. Then I used the brush to brush back and forth with force. I brushed many bubbles on the shoes, which were black and really dirty, indicating how dirty my shoes were, Its been a long time since I did it. If it werent for the rain getting wet today, I might not have done it yet. So I sprinkled laundry detergent on both shoes and vigorously brushed each one until it was clean, inside and outside. I turned on the faucet, placed my shoes on the flowing water head, and washed them clean. As I washed them, I used a shoe brush to brush them again. Soon, my shoes were completely wiped clean by me. I picked up my shoes and looked at them. They didnt look as black and dirty as before, and there was still a scent of laundry detergent left. I took my shoes to the balcony and found a ventilated place to dry them.

Watching the shoes I personally washed so clean makes me feel so happy. I will often wash my shoes in the future.
